"I maintain that Truth is a pathless land, and you cannot approach it by any path whatsoever, by any religion, by any sect. Truth, being limitless, unconditioned, unapproachable by any path whatsoever, cannot be organized; nor should any organization be formed to lead or to coerce people along any particular path. You must climb towards the Truth. It cannot be 'stepped down' or organized for you." - author: Jiddu Krishnamurthi

Life and death...

I've been thinking a lot about life and death lately, fact is, I think about death everyday. That thing that is the end of life. What is known and sure of is that birth is the begining of life and death is the end of it. There's no start or end of death. Death is just the end of life thats all, the cessation of the me. The ego fears that, it fears its non existence thus creating this fear of death, fear of the unknown which is not. Jiddu Krishnamurthi once said something like :

"What does it mean to die? To give up everything. Death cuts you off with a very, very sharp razor from your attachments, from your Gods, superstitions, from your desire for comfort and so on... It means to be totally free, to be totally unattached to everything that man has put together, or what you have put together - totally free. No attachments, no Gods, no future, no past. You don't see the beauty of it, the greatness of it, the extraordinary strength of it, while living to be dying...?"

Having been sick for some weeks have probably made me think of these stuffs again. What does it feel like when dying? Deep inside we all know that death haunts us day and night. Like a hunter seeking the right moment to strike. It seems a bit far fetched but very real in fact.

Someone once said in french : "La vie est infidéle, elle te quitteras un jour, mais la mort quant a elle est fidéle, elle seras toujours la pour toi quant la vie se separera de toi..."

Some things are so real that its hard for our conditionned mind to accept. If only we could learn to uncondition ourselves before dwelling into the deeper meanings of life, things would have been completely different.
Life, its all about the human mind...
